Fluid Control Analysis

Fluid Control Analysis - Metalworking Lubricants Company - iStock_000079736905_SmallWritten reports of fluid analysis will be circulated to the designated maintenance and purchasing personnel.

Each report will track the physical and/or chemical condition of each fluid and its performance on the present system. These reports will encompass and track corrective action necessary to optimize the life of each fluid. The following are a few of the many fluid controls that are tested daily:

CONCENTRATION

Every fluid is designed to operate in a given range to maximize efficiency and longevity. Some of our tests on concentration are acid split, titration and refractometer.

INFRA-RED SPECTRO PHOTO ANALYSIS

This is a characteristic fingerprint of the fluid, which gives us the ability to establish a standard for qualitative comparative analysis.

pH

Another crucial characteristic in regard to fluid longevity and operator health is pH. High pH can cause skin irritation and dermatitis, while low pH can lead to the formation of bacteria. Metalworking Lubricants Company’s extensive knowledge and expertise of biological control can alleviate potential problems before they arise.

TRAMP OIL

Extraneous material such as a leaking hydraulic line can lead to performance problems and development of bacteria. Metalworking Lubricants Company uses the Babcock Oil split test to check for extraneous and contaminants in the fluid.

In addition, Metalworking Lubricants Company would be conducting test programs on specific machines for tool life, fluid life, and reduction of high dollar products that can be replaced by a less expensive, but effective product.
